LAUNCH OF FRIENDS OF THE WOODLAND.

Yesterday at the annual Easter Egg Hunt Derek Kennedy,
whose great idea this was,

launched a new scheme aimed at encouraging young people
to become involved in QRMW.

This is what Friends of the Woodland is all about:

BECOME A FRIEND OF QRMW

The Chairman and Trustees of QRMW feel that to secure the future of the
Memorial Woodland we must secure the interest of our young people –
the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of ex-servicemen.

We now have trees planted in Honour of Husbands, Fathers and Grandfathers.
We have ashes scattered for the same reasons and loved ones laid to rest with
their brothers from the Armed Forces.

We have therefore set up “The Friends of The Memorial Woodland” aimed at
young people, although ANYONE can become a “Friend of the Woodland”.
We hope it will encourage those who have or had relatives in The Queen’s Regiment
and other Services to play an active part in the future of our Woodland which is a
place for all to come and meet, walk, sit, reflect and sometimes work!

If you are interested in joining please complete the attached form and send back to
us with your payment. In return you will receive a joining pack and news letter once a quarter.

We look forward to seeing you at the woodland in the future as Members of “Friends of the Woodland”.

Chairman
The Queen’s Regt Memorial Woodland for Fallen Servicemen
